I’ve been seeing a lot of bunny faces lately, so I thought it would be fun to put together a quick list of the different types of cute symbols bunny fans can choose from. Some people might not even realize that these aren’t all just the same thing. I’ll start by breaking them down into categories.

Compact Bunny Faces

The first category is the complete compact bunny face. These have very little detail in terms of facial features. They’re usually only using the ears, and sometimes even those are simplified or combined into one shape. Here’s an example:

This next one has more detail, but it’s still pretty basic. It uses the ears as well as some details on the face. Here’s an example:

But then you can add more details to the face. This next one is similar to the above, except with a bit more detail on the face. Here’s an example:

And here’s another variation of that style:

You can also create a version that doesn’t use any decoration around the bunny. The following two examples are variations of that style.

Expressive Bunny Faces

These versions of the bunny are much more expressive. You can make sleepy-looking bunnies…

…or excited-looking bunnies…

…and there are many more options available. If you want something completely copyable, here’s one:

Bunnies Decorated With Hearts Flowers and Stars

Now for those who love their bunnies decorated with hearts, flowers, stars, etc., here’s a comparison of how a small heart accent differs from fuller surrounding ornament.

And here’s a more elaborate version of that style.

Using Bunny Symbols Beside a Name or Phrase

When using these symbols, it’s always best to choose one complete bunny beside a personal name or phrase, and inspect spacing, marks, wrapping, and field acceptance after pasting. Sometimes, depending on where you paste (like a bio, display name, caption, message, etc.), the result may look wrong at first glance, but if you try again with a less decorated choice, you’ll likely get the desired effect.

For example, this one looks fine when used in a tweet.

However, when used in my Facebook bio, it didn’t work as intended.

So I tried a slightly less decorated option.

That worked better in my Facebook bio.

Sometimes, though, no matter how simple the design, the result won’t look right. And there’s no guarantee that trying again will fix it. So while choosing a less decorated bunny is a practical option, there’s no guarantee that it’ll work.
