I’ve been working on a few different things lately, but I had this idea of making a cute kamoji post. So today, I’m sharing some cute kaomoji that you can copy and paste directly into your bios, captions, usernames, or messages.
If you’re not familiar with the term “kaomoji,” it’s the Japanese word for face characters. They’re basically upright Japanese-style text faces that are used in text messaging. They’re usually made up of letters, punctuation, and Unicode symbols, and they’re read upright (as opposed to graphical emoji, which are pictographic characters rendered by the platform font you’re using). You’ll find them in most languages, including English, Spanish, French, etc., so you can use them anywhere you’d normally put an emoji.
They’re also called “cute kamoji” when searching online because people often misspell the word as “kamoji.” But if you search for “cute kaomoji,” you’ll get lots of results showing how they work.
So here are my favorite ones. These are all very compact and friendly, so they should work great whether you want one soft signature face or just a couple spaced out through a caption or chat.

I hope these help! If you’re unsure which one to choose, try picking one based on mood. For example, if you want a happy, cheerful, or upbeat tone, pick from the first group. If you want something shy, blushing, or modest, pick from the second group. If you want something affectionate, like a kiss or love, pick from the third group. If you want something sleepy or calm, pick from the fourth group. And if you want something more animal-like, pick from the last group.

And remember, it’s usually best to use just one face in your profile or username. But you can space a few throughout a caption or chat. Just make sure that you’re copying and pasting the complete string, and not cutting and pasting individual pieces. Also, keep in mind that sometimes the rendering will be different depending on the platform and device you’re using, so test it before sending. If it doesn’t render correctly, try another one. Some of the rarer glyphs may not render properly on older devices, so if you see empty boxes where the glyph should be, switch to a simpler face. Username fields can also reject non-ASCII characters, so check the exact string in the real field and from another device.
Remember that the best cute kaomoji support the message as a tiny text accent. Don’t feel like you have to rebuild the whole text around the face, and don’t feel like you have to cram multiple faces into the same sentence. Just pick a couple of moods, mix them up, and go!
